'New Exhibition in the Arts'
Well known artist Brian Hegarty from Dublin will be exhibiting his work in the Droichead Arts Centre between the 9th and the 31st of August.
Mr. Hegarty uses many different types of material in his art including paint, bitumen, varnish, canvas, felt and paper. Of his work he says "When starting a painting I have no predetermined idea of what it should look like. I work a lot by chance, allowing a scrape, scratch or an irregularity in a material to become the starting point. The works themselves are non-allegorical but they are references to places I've travelled or just my regular everyday environment."
